Video games are the key to unlocking gender difference?

According to a study at the University of Toronto, women rapidly improved their spatial abilities by playing videogames.

The school’s department of Psychology found that there are differences in the ways that men and women perceive spatiality, with women being less able to perceive spatial difference. But through videogames, both sexes improved their abilities, with women especially making a marked improvement. The researchers see this as a way to increase women’s participation in science and engineering.

The moral of the story seems to be that not only are videogames good for you, they could also be capable of leveling the gender playing field.
