Come see Geoff and Max talk about the Metadata Games project this Friday at DPLAfest in Boston to get a first-hand look at the project’s newest games!
DPLAfest 2013 is a two-day series of DPLA-related workshops, discussions, and other hands-on activities that are free and open to the public celebrating the April 2013 launch of The Digital Public Library of America (DPLA) – a platform that aggregates and disseminates “the riches of America’s libraries, archives, and museums.”
Tiltfactor’s very own Geoff Kaufman and Max Seidman will share the latest developments in the Metadata Games project during a lightning demo and a panel centering on the theme of “creative ways to build and extend metadata.” Metadata Games is an online game system for gathering useful data on photo, audio, and moving image artifacts. Metadata Games seeks to engage those who might not visit archives to explore humanities content while contributing to vital records, and further enables archivists to gather and analyze information for image archives in powerful and innovative ways.
